Along with Hajj pilgrims, 83 imposter Hajj guides were apprehended. According to Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security, 83 fraudulent Hajj teachers have been arrested, while 159,188 unlawful pilgrims have been deported.
Furthermore, 5,868 foreigners have been detained for attempting to undertake Hajj without a permit, as well as violating residency, employment, and border security restrictions.

According to Al-Bassami, nine facilitators who illegally attempted to transport Hajj pilgrims to holy places have also been arrested. Furthermore, 109,118 automobiles were returned at checks outside of Makkah.
This year’s Hajj is expected to gather nearly 2 million pilgrims, making it the highest in years. It is also the first event to take place without any limitations in the aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak.
Despite the scorching temperatures in Saudi Arabia, millions of pilgrims have arrived in Makkah, Islam’s holiest city, for the greatest Hajj in years.
