Saudi Arabia Denies Trump's Claim, Reaffirms Demand for Palestinian State in Israel Deal

Saudi Arabia Stands Firm on Palestinian Statehood, Rejects Trump’s Claims

Saudi Arabia has reiterated that it will not establish diplomatic ties with Israel unless a Palestinian state is recognized, refuting US President Donald Trump’s assertion that the kingdom has abandoned this condition.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Saudi foreign ministry reaffirmed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s “clear and explicit” stance, emphasizing the kingdom’s unwavering support for Palestinian statehood and rejecting any efforts to displace Palestinians from their land.

This response came after Trump, in a controversial announcement, claimed that the US would “take over” Gaza, resettle its Palestinian population, and transform it into what he termed the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump stated that Saudi Arabia no longer required the establishment of a Palestinian state for normalizing relations with Israel.

However, the Saudi government firmly denied this, stressing that its commitment to the Palestinian cause remains “non-negotiable.”

Trump Proposes US ‘Take Over’ of Gaza in Redevelopment Plan

US President Donald Trump has unveiled a bold proposal for the United States to “take over” and “own” the Gaza Strip, suggesting a redevelopment initiative to convert the conflict-ridden enclave into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

Speaking at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, Trump outlined his plan for economic reconstruction in Gaza, pledging “unlimited jobs and housing” for the region’s residents.

“The US will take over Gaza, and we will do a great job with it. We’ll own it,” Trump stated, explaining that his proposal involves clearing debris, removing unexploded ordnance, and laying the groundwork for major investments.

This announcement marks a significant departure from longstanding US policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has been met with swift condemnation from Palestinian leaders and human rights organizations.
