Renowned Pakistani actress Sarwat Gilani has shared her disappointing experiences while working with superstar Humayun Saeed and director Nadeem Baig during the Jawani Phir Nahi Aani film series. She accused the two of unprofessional behavior and lack of respect toward her during production.
In a recent interview, Sarwat Gilani said she was not treated well while working on the first two Jawani Phir Nahi Aani films. Despite contributing to the success of the franchise, she claimed she was often ignored and only contacted when the filmmakers needed her involvement.
According to Gilani, her role in the first film was reduced without prior notice. When the sequel was announced, she initially refused to participate because of her earlier experience. She later agreed after director Nadeem Baig promised her a complete and well-developed character arc.
However, Gilani stated that the promise was not fulfilled. She said her role in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2 was again minimized and that she faced further exclusion during promotions. The actress revealed that she was left out of the film’s London promotional tour, even after booking her own flight tickets. “The schedule was never shared with me. I found out later that the entire team had already left,” she said.
Expressing frustration, Sarwat Gilani remarked that she is only remembered when needed for work. “They don’t contact me after the release. I will no longer tolerate such treatment,” she said firmly.

The actress confirmed that she declined to return for the third part of the film series. She emphasized that she values her dignity and wants fair treatment and respect for her work.
Despite her grievances, Gilani clarified that she still respects both Humayun Saeed and Nadeem Baig but will not participate in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 3.
