Despite being restricted in India over casting issues, Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 made a record-breaking debut in Pakistan, earning an impressive Rs4.5 crore on its opening day.

This marks the highest first-day collection for any Indian film released in Pakistan. The film’s release coincided with heightened Pak-India tensions following the April 22 Pahalgam attack, leading to boycott movements and a ban on its Indian theatrical run.

Outperforming blockbusters like Sultan, the supernatural comedy thrilled Pakistani audiences with its vibrant energy and humor. Hania Aamir, who faced backlash in India, drew strong support at home, filling cinemas nationwide. Despite international success, producer Gunbir Singh Sidhu admitted to a 40% revenue loss due to the Indian ban. The film now ranks as the third-largest overseas opener among Punjabi films, following Carry On Jatta and Jatt & Juliet 3.
