SanDisk has unveiled its latest innovation — the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. The new SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive combines high capacity with a compact design, offering users fast data transfer speeds and easy portability.
The 1TB version of the SanDisk Extreme Fit is priced at $119.99 and is now available in select markets. It features a plug-and-stay form factor that fits neatly into devices such as the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and USB-C iPad models. Measuring just 18.50 x 15.70 x 13.60 mm and weighing 3 grams, the flash drive can remain attached to laptops or tablets without affecting their portability.
The device is powered by USB 3.2 Gen 1 technology, delivering read speeds of up to 400MB/s across all capacities, from 128GB to 1TB. This makes it ideal for transferring large media files and documents quickly. However, SanDisk notes that the drive is not intended for high-bitrate video recording, such as 4K 120fps ProRes videos on iPhones.
The flash drive supports multiple platforms, including Windows 10 and later, macOS 12 and above, and iPadOS 15 or newer. SanDisk also includes its Memory Zone software for both Windows and Mac users, allowing them to manage files, automate backups, and free up space on their primary devices.
The SanDisk Extreme Fit is available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, each backed by a five-year limited warranty. The drive can be purchased through SanDisk’s official website and Amazon in the United States.
