Key Points from Sanaullah’s Remarks

  1. Judicial Commission and Terms of Reference (ToR)
Sanaullah highlighted the possibility of forming a judicial commission but emphasized the importance of mutually agreed ToR. He stated, “The PTI is of the view that the government should not intervene in the release of its workers. None of the PTI workers are in jail under an executive order. We will ask how to proceed with their release.”
  2. Role of the Establishment
Sanaullah clarified that the establishment has not opposed negotiations between political parties, adding that it has not intervened in the talks either.
  3. November 26 Incident
Addressing PTI’s claims about missing and deceased party workers, Sanaullah challenged the party to present evidence. “Nobody was killed on November 26. If there’s evidence, it should be brought to light. The PTI must provide a list to the media if they have one.”
  4. Internet Speed Concerns
On a separate issue, Sanaullah spoke about the government’s focus on improving internet speed, citing concerns raised during federal cabinet meetings. He shared, “The Prime Minister wants to enhance internet speed. I have urged IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja to provide logical solutions as everyone is complaining about this issue.”

PTI’s Perspective

PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan, also a guest on the program, shared his optimism about the ongoing talks:

  • Impact of Al-Qadir Trust Case Verdict “If the verdict in the Al-Qadir Trust case goes against PTI founder Imran Khan, it will affect the negotiations.”
  • Commitment to Talks
Khan reassured that PTI is open to meaningful dialogue. “The negotiation committee is working to schedule another meeting with the PTI founder. Imran Khan has always emphasized that negotiations must have a purpose.”
  • Engagement with Mahmood Khan Achakzai
Commenting on Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Khan said, “If Mahmood Achakzai speaks about the constitution and negotiations, PTI is willing to engage with him.”

As discussions continue, both sides appear cautiously optimistic about bridging gaps. However, concerns regarding legal cases and the establishment’s role remain key factors shaping the trajectory of these talks.
