Popular TikToker Samiya Hijab has claimed that a man from Lahore tried to kidnap her after she rejected his marriage proposal. She also alleged that the same man has been threatening to kill her for the past three months.
In a video statement shared on social media, Samiya Hijab explained the situation. She said the man had been following her and pressuring her to marry him. Despite her refusal, he allegedly continued to harass her.
Samiya stated that the incident took place when her mother was unwell and her brother was not home. The man reportedly arrived outside her house, tried to take her phone, and attempted to force her into his car. She claimed she has a video recording of the incident as evidence.
The TikToker compared her situation to that of her friend Sana Yousaf. Sana was reportedly killed in Islamabad after rejecting a marriage proposal. Samiya said she does not want to suffer the same fate and urged girls to speak out against threats and harassment.
“I don’t want to be like Sana. I want to raise my voice before it’s too late,” Samiya Hijab said.
She confirmed that the Islamabad Police have recorded her statement and filed an official report. She expressed hope that the authorities will take quick and serious action.
Samiya also appealed to the Inspector General of Police in Islamabad. She asked for strong action against the suspect and called for better protection for women facing similar threats.
