Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly set to earn between Rs120 crore and Rs150 crore for hosting Bigg Boss 19. The new season is scheduled to start on August 30 and will feature a unique hybrid format. Episodes will premiere on the OTT platform JioCinema before airing on Colors TV with a 90-minute delay.
Salman Khan has been the face of Bigg Boss for over a decade. He is expected to host the first 15 weeks of the show. His weekly salary is said to be between Rs8 crore and Rs10 crore. This season will be the longest ever, lasting five months. After Salman Khan’s hosting period, Bollywood personalities like Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, and Farah Khan might take over.
Recently, Salman Khan filmed the season’s promotional teaser. The promo reportedly has a political theme, which could mean this season will focus more on satire and social commentary. This new format combines digital viewers with television audiences. Khan’s salary reflects this change, following his previous earnings of Rs200 crore for season 17 and Rs250 crore for season 18.
The official list of contestants remains secret. However, rumors include television actors Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhupar, and social media stars like Gaurav Taneja (Flying Beast) and Mr. Faisu. Other potential contestants are dancer Dhanashree Verma and digital creator Arshifa Khan.
Despite the buzz, the channel and production house have not officially announced the final contestant list or the full duration of Bigg Boss 19. Fans eagerly await more details as the August 30 premiere approaches.
