Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reportedly sustained an injury while filming his upcoming action drama, Battle of Galwan, in the freezing region of Ladakh. The actor was shooting intense action sequences at sub-zero temperatures, which proved physically demanding for him and the entire crew.
According to sources, Salman Khan and the team filmed for 45 days in Ladakh, with the actor present on set for 15 of those days. Extreme cold, low oxygen levels, and challenging terrain made the shoot difficult, but Salman persevered despite minor injuries. He is now taking a short break to recover before resuming work on the film in Mumbai next week.
The Mumbai schedule will focus on more emotional sequences, balancing the action-heavy scenes from Ladakh. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film’s production team is working to capture both high-intensity moments and deep, character-driven scenes. While the official release date has not been announced, the producers are expected to reveal it soon.
In July, Salman Khan shared a motion poster for Battle of Galwan, showing him in a fierce pose with a bloodied face, thick moustache, and determined eyes. The film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between India and China, which occurred at more than 15,000 feet without firearms. The story aims to showcase courage, patriotism, and human endurance under extreme conditions.
Chitrangda Singh will star alongside Salman Khan in the movie, which promises a mix of emotional depth and high-octane action. Fans of the actor are eagerly awaiting updates on the sequel to his hit film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which Salman has confirmed is also in development.
Salman Khan’s dedication to performing his own stunts, even in harsh conditions, has once again highlighted his commitment to bringing realism to the big screen. Despite the challenges, the actor’s performance in Battle of Galwan is expected to impress audiences when the film releases.
The production team continues to ensure that Salman Khan recovers fully before resuming filming, prioritizing safety while maintaining the intensity of the cinematic experience.
