Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally reacted to Sikandar director AR Murugadoss after the filmmaker blamed the actor’s attitude for the movie’s failure.
The mega-budget action film, led by Salman Khan, was one of the most awaited releases of the year. Despite its star-studded cast and massive production scale, Sikandar received negative reviews and struggled at the box office after its March release.
Recently, director AR Murugadoss, known for hit Bollywood remakes like Ghajini and Holiday, hinted that the actor’s “star behavior” caused delays during filming. He stated that it was not easy to shoot with a big star, claiming they often had to film day scenes at night because Khan arrived late to the set.
For weeks, the Tiger 3 star chose to stay silent on the issue. However, during a recent episode of his show Bigg Boss, Salman Khan finally broke his silence. When asked if he regretted doing certain films, he said he had no regrets about any of his projects — not even Sikandar.
Responding sarcastically, the actor said, “I used to reach the set at 9 PM because my ribs were fractured.” He then added that Murugadoss should look at his own recent movie, Madharaasi, which also faced box office trouble. “That film’s actor arrived on set at 6 PM,” he quipped, drawing laughter from the audience.
Continuing humorously, Khan said, “First Sajid backed out, then Murugadoss returned to the South.” His comment hinted that the team distanced itself after Sikandar’s poor performance.

Despite the controversy, Salman Khan appeared calm and confident. His remarks showed that he holds no bitterness toward the director. Sikandar featured a strong ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Anjini Dhawan, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj.
The exchange between the actor and director has reignited discussions about professionalism and creative differences in Bollywood filmmaking.
