Share

Renowned actress Sajal Aly has taken a firm stance against child labor and abuse following a distressing incident involving the alleged brutal torture of a 14-year-old domestic worker by the wife of Judge Asim Hafeez in Pakistan’s federal capital. In a heartfelt video message, the Kuch Ankahi actor passionately appealed to the public to cease subjecting young children to forced labor and mistreatment, emphasizing that child labor is not only morally wrong but also illegal.

Aly earnestly implored people to be vigilant and report any instances of child labor or abuse they come across, whether it occurs in someone’s home or outside. She emphasized the need for collective action to pressure authorities into taking prompt measures to safeguard vulnerable children, stressing that their age should be dedicated to learning and playing in a secure environment.

Senior actor Nadia Jamil also joined the cause, sharing Aly’s video message and adding her voice to the call for an end to child exploitation and abuse. Jamil highlighted the often unnoticed plight of child domestic workers, deprived of education and a normal childhood, while being subjected to grueling tasks and mistreatment.

Jamil urged everyone to unite in reporting cases of child labor and exploitation, emphasizing that education is not just a constitutional but also a religious right for these young individuals. She commended Sajal Aly for using her influential platform to raise awareness and called upon other celebrities and individuals to join in this important cause.

With prominent figures like Aly and Jamil advocating against child labor and abuse, there is hope for increased awareness and collective efforts to protect the rights and dignity of children throughout Pakistan.
