The Bollywood film ‘Saiyaara’ has quickly risen to become the second highest-grossing movie of 2025. Released just nine days ago, it has earned massive revenue both in India and overseas.
Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Saiyaara’ tells the story of Krish Kapoor, an aspiring musician, and Vaani Batra, a reserved writer. Their love story, full of passion and heartbreak, has connected deeply with audiences. The film stars newcomers Ahaan Pandey and Anit Pada in lead roles.
Trade analysts report that ‘Saiyaara’ collected Rs217.25 crore in India within nine days. The film’s earnings jumped significantly on its second Saturday, earning Rs26.5 crore, which is 50% more than the previous day. This strong weekend performance shows the film’s lasting appeal and positive word-of-mouth.
Internationally, ‘Saiyaara’ has also performed well. It earned over Rs30 crore globally on its second Friday and crossed the $1 million mark in overseas markets in just one day. This is a rare achievement for a romantic film with new actors.
By the eighth day, the worldwide total of reached Rs282 crore, with Rs229 crore earned domestically and Rs53 crore from overseas. This total surpasses Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5,’ making ‘Saiyaara’ the second biggest hit of the year. Only the historical epic ‘Chhawaa’ leads the box office with Rs601 crore.
