Most Expensive Pakistani Player in PSL History – See Who’s

Young all-rounder Saim Ayub has made history by becoming the most expensive Pakistani player in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history. He surpassed stars like Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Afridi ahead of the PSL 11 auction.

New PSL franchise Hyderabad signed the Pakistani player for a record Rs. 12.6 crore. Only Australia’s Steve Smith, signed for Rs. 14 crore by Sialkot Stallionz, is higher on the auction list.

Saim Ayub’s rise is remarkable because he was released by Peshawar Zalmi, who retained Babar Azam in the Platinum category. His status as the No. 1 T20I all-rounder in the ICC rankings attracted interest from all franchises. Hyderabad successfully secured the top-ranked Pakistani player with a massive bid.

Besides Saim Ayub, Hyderabad has also signed promising local players including Usman Khan, Akif Javed, and Maaz Sadaqat. The franchise strengthened its overseas options by signing Marnus Labuschagne, who will join Saim as one of the headline players.

PSL 11 will follow a full auction format, with franchises allowed only four retentions. Experts expect intense bidding this year, with Saim Ayub emerging as one of the most talked-about players. His record signing highlights the growing demand for top Pakistani players in T20 leagues.

Analysts believe Saim Ayub’s all-round abilities could play a key role in Hyderabad’s campaign. Fans are excited to see how the young talent performs on the big stage.
