Saif Ali Khan recently shared valuable relationship advice he received from his close friend, Rani Mukerji, which has greatly influenced his relationship with Kareena Kapoor.
During an interview, Saif recalled Rani’s counsel when he first started dating Kareena. She advised him to “Just behave like you are in a relationship with a man,” meaning to focus on equality rather than traditional gender roles. Saif explained, “She meant don’t get into the gender of it. Treat it like equal, like you’ve got two heroes in the house. Two people working and then you will have no problems. And I think she is absolutely right.”

Saif embraced this advice and continues to reflect on it. He noted that it’s about balancing responsibilities and contributions in the household, regardless of gender. “It’s about two equals making a positive contribution to the house. One is taking care of the kids while the other works,” he said.
Saif and Rani Mukerji, who have appeared together in films like *Hum Tum* (2004), *Ta Ra Rum Pum* (2007), *Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic* (2008), and *Bunty Aur Babli 2* (2021), share a strong off-screen friendship. Saif appreciated how Rani’s advice tackled gender role complexities, emphasizing respect and equality in their relationship.
