Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal has achieved a historic milestone by dethroning England’s Sophie Ecclestone to claim the No. 1 spot in the latest ICC Women’s T20 Bowling Rankings.
According to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) updated rankings, Sadia rose one position to top the bowling charts, marking a significant achievement for Pakistan’s women’s cricket. She now leads ahead of India’s Deepti Sharma, who is ranked second, and Australia’s Annabel Sutherland in third place.
While Sadia has made headlines for her bowling prowess, no Pakistani batter features in the ICC Women’s T20 top ten batting rankings. Australia’s Beth Mooney continues to dominate that category, maintaining her position as the world’s leading T20 batter.
In the all-rounders’ list, West Indies captain Hayley Matthews retains the top position, reflecting her consistent performances. Pakistan’s Nida Dar has also made her mark, securing seventh place among the world’s leading all-rounders, underscoring her value to the national side across all departments.
