Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary Portuguese footballer, has hinted that he may retire while playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. However, he isn’t certain when that day will come.
In an interview with Portuguese TV channel NOW, Ronaldo mentioned, “I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years… but probably I will retire here at Al-Nassr.”
Ronaldo expressed his satisfaction with his current situation, stating, “I’m very happy at this club, I feel good in this country too. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue.”

This revelation about his potential retirement comes shortly after Ronaldo’s YouTube channel achieved a remarkable milestone, reaching one million subscribers within just 90 minutes. This rapid growth may suggest his plans for life after football.
At 39, Ronaldo has already exceeded many fans’ expectations regarding the length of his professional career. Yet, he might keep his actual retirement plans a secret, saying, “When I leave the national team, I will not tell anyone; it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part.”
Despite speculation, Ronaldo downplayed the idea of pursuing a coaching career. “At the moment, I’m not thinking about being a coach of the first team or any team,” he noted. “It doesn’t even cross my mind, I’ve never thought about it. I don’t see my future going through that.”
Looking ahead, Ronaldo is focused on contributing to his national team in the upcoming Nations League games under Roberto Martinez. He added, “I see myself doing other things outside of football, but only God knows what the future holds.”
