A group of robbers attacked a woman at a checkpoint set up on Sheikhupura Road in Sharaqpur, where they were looting passersby. Eyewitnesses reported that the robbers took mobile phones and cash from over 20 victims in three hours. Among them, three robbers, raped the woman, who left the scene in distress.

Authorities have launched a search operation in nearby fields to locate the suspects. The incident follows another disturbing case in Shakargarh, where a shopkeeper allegedly raped a girl and extorted money through blackmail. Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
