In an official statement, a spokesperson for the Islamabad Police asserted that while peaceful protests are a fundamental right, any illegal activities will be dealt with through legal measures. The spokesperson issued a warning, indicating that individuals engaging in violent actions will face repercussions.

Several political parties have expressed their intent to protest against alleged irregularities in the recently conducted elections.
