The search and rescue operation in the Swat River tragedy entered its sixth consecutive day on Tuesday, with teams continuing their efforts to locate the remaining missing victim, officials confirmed.
Rescue operations are being carried out from Kanju Bridge to Barikot, supported by the district administration and civil defense personnel. According to a spokesperson, divers, rescue boats, and advanced search equipment are being deployed in the ongoing mission.

Authorities stated that the operation would continue until the recovery of Abdullah, a young man from Daska who is still unaccounted for. Since the incident occurred, a total of 12 bodies have been recovered.
In a related development, the region’s anti-encroachment drive has been temporarily halted. Officials have published a list targeting unauthorized structures in the Fiza Gat area. The Irrigation Department has identified 38 sites involved in encroachments, and authorities suspect that several of these may be linked to individuals with political influence.
