WhatsApp has moved its operations out of Pakistan following recent disruptions in the country’s internet services. According to official reports, the messaging platform has relocated its Content Delivery Network (CDN) and session server routing abroad.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed that this move has led to service interruptions for many users, who are struggling to access the app. While the PTA asserts that internet services have improved, users continue to report slow speeds.

In a recent ranking, Pakistan placed 100th out of 111 countries for mobile internet speeds and 141st out of 158 countries for broadband speeds as of October, according to Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index. Over recent months, slow internet speeds have made it challenging for people to use social media platforms.
