Report card goes viral with Teacher’s remark: “She has passed away”

We’ve all heard classmates and even teachers speak English that is riddled with errors.

These errors are typically made in areas where English is not the primary language, which is sometimes perceived as a sign of elitism.

On social media, a report card with the teacher’s comment that the student “passed away” for failing to complete the test is making the rounds.

Despite the person citing a Facebook post, the report card appears to be from a school in Malawi, a Southeast African country.

Chichewa, Malawi’s official language, is one of the subjects on the report card. Math, English, Agriculture, BK/RE, social studies, life skills, and the arts complete the curriculum.
