RDA To Digitize Property Transactions Across Rawalpindi City

The RDA has announced plans to digitize property transactions in Rawalpindi, marking a major step toward modernization and transparency. The new system aims to make real estate dealings more efficient, secure, and tamper-proof.

During a meeting chaired by RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, officials reviewed progress on initiatives to simplify property management. The meeting focused on developing a digital platform for transferring ownership of units in RDA-approved multi-storey projects, including residential apartments, condominiums, commercial spaces, and mixed-use developments.

The RDA also plans to introduce a QR-coded allotment and transfer system for plots located in private housing societies that fall under its jurisdiction. This initiative will ensure that all property records are verifiable, traceable, and protected against forgery or unauthorized alterations.

Kinza Murtaza highlighted that the new digital mechanisms will bring greater transparency and efficiency to Rawalpindi’s real estate sector. She emphasized the importance of adopting technology-driven solutions to strengthen public trust and streamline official procedures. She also directed all departments to speed up implementation of the approved proposals to achieve visible progress.

Senior RDA officials, including Additional Director General Mansoor Ahmad Khan and Chief Planner Muhammad Tahir Meo, attended the meeting. The Director General praised the IT and planning teams for their efforts in designing modern systems to improve service delivery.

These reforms represent a significant move toward a more accountable and citizen-friendly approach to governance. By integrating digital tools into property management, the RDA aims to create a secure, efficient, and transparent system that benefits both developers and property owners.
