RAWALPINDI – In light of heightened security threats following Indian hostilities, authorities have imposed a complete nighttime blackout across all private housing societies in Rawalpindi.
As per the Rawalpindi administration’s directive, the blackout will be strictly enforced from 7 PM to 5 AM. All streetlights must remain off, and residents are instructed to switch off external home lighting, including porch lights.

Officials have also advised the public to cover windows completely and limit indoor lighting to a minimum.
Additionally, residents are urged to avoid unnecessary movement during blackout hours to maintain safety and visibility discipline.
