Rawalpindi, Lahore matches to take place as scheduled.

Because the impasse between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the temporary Punjab administration is set to break today, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight matches will take place as scheduled in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Dr. Javed Akram, the interim government’s minister of health, has told that the PSL games won’t be moved from Lahore and Rawalpindi to Karachi.

For the matches to be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi, the temporary Punjab government has asked PCB for PKR 500 million. The board has already given the Punjab government PKR 50 million for food expenses.

The remaining PKR 450 million are currently being sought by the provincial government for illumination and security objectives. The board is currently thinking about moving the Punjab leg of PSL 8 to Karachi Pakistan order to save these costs.

The interim Punjab government has reportedly chosen to be flexible with regard to lighting, security, and other costs. The Punjab government will cover 60% of the bill payment costs, and the PCB will cover the other 40%.

Today’s meeting between the PCB and officials of the caretaker administration will resolve the issue.

On the Friday meeting between the aforementioned parties, PCB strongly refused to pay the PKR 450 million in bills for security, electricity, and other charges that the government had given them.

Lahore matches will begin on February 26 while Rawalpindi will host PSL games beginning on March 1.
