[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC) forecasted that the likelihood of seeing the moon on March 22 was extremely low and that there was a good chance it will be seen on March 23, and that the nation would probably observe the first Ramazan on March 24.
Being the beginning of the holy month, the viewing of the Ramazan moon is an important occasion for Muslims everywhere. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, a committee of Islamic scholars in charge of validating the seeing of the crescent moon, is in charge of determining the moon’s sighting in Pakistan.
According to RHRC Secretary-General Khalid Ijaz Mufti, the Ramazan crescent will appear on March 21 around 10:23 p.m. He did, however, emphasise that it is unlikely to be seen on March 22.
He said that the age of the moon will be at least 19 hours at the sunset of March 22 (29 Shaban) but due to other weather factors, the moon will not be visible to the naked eye, adding that it was less likely that first of Ramazan will be observed on March 23.
But, he added that there was a good chance that the holy month of Ramazan will start on March 24 if the skies were entirely clear in some regions. Moon sightings, he added, could not be completely ruled out in those circumstances.
The RHRC’s forecast is in accordance with the Islamic calendar and is based on mathematical calculations. On March 22, the Ramazan moon will be visible, and the council has advised people to keep an eye out for it. If the sky is clear, they should report any sightings to their local Ruet-e-Hilal Committee or mosque.
