Rajender Meghwar has made history by becoming the first Hindu officer to join the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). He has begun his duties as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faisalabad, marking a significant milestone for representation in Pakistan’s law enforcement sector.
Hailing from Badin, an underdeveloped district in Sindh, Meghwar’s achievement is particularly inspiring as he cleared the highly competitive Civil Services Examination (CSS) to secure his position.

Speaking to the media, Meghwar expressed immense pride and satisfaction in realizing his dream of serving Pakistan. “For me, being part of the police force is an opportunity to make a difference at the grassroots level. This role allows me to address the challenges faced by my community in a way that few other roles could,” he stated.
Meghwar’s groundbreaking success is complemented by another inspiring story. Roopmati, a woman from a minority community in Rahim Yar Khan, has also passed the CSS exam. She aspires to join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aiming to represent Pakistan positively on the global stage.
These achievements not only highlight the potential of Pakistan’s diverse communities but also reinforce the message of inclusion and opportunity within the country’s institutions.
