The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain and scattered thunderstorms in parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), offering a brief respite from the ongoing dry spell. However, much of the country, including Sindh and Balochistan, is expected to remain under hot and dry conditions.
In Punjab, cities such as Bahawalnagar, Multan, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan are likely to see light rain and localized thunderstorms. Khanewal and Dera Ghazi Khan may experience gusty winds along with rainfall. Hilly regions like Murree and Galiyat could see some light showers amid partly cloudy skies.

In KP, the forecast includes rain with gusty winds across several northern districts, including Kohistan, Battagram, Swat, and Mansehra. Similar conditions are expected in Abbottabad and Haripur, where residents could experience cooler temperatures due to the showers.
Meanwhile, no significant weather changes are expected in Sindh and Balochistan, where extremely hot and dry weather will persist. Authorities have advised residents in affected areas to stay vigilant, particularly where thunderstorms and strong winds are predicted.
