Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) senior leader Dr. Farooq Sattar on Thursday called on K-Electric to remove taxes from electricity bills and reduce power tariffs. Speaking at the party’s protest against K-Electric, Sattar warned, “If our demands are not met, a gathering of thousands will grow into millions.”
He further cautioned that if no action is taken, the public will take matters into their own hands and enforce their demands themselves.

MQM-P Raises Alarm Over Sindh’s Situation After Rainfall
Last month, MQM-P expressed concerns over the worsening conditions in Sindh following recent rainfall. A party spokesperson remarked, “If moderate rainfall has led to these deteriorating conditions in Karachi, what will happen when torrential rains hit?”
The spokesperson highlighted the struggles citizens are facing due to poor road conditions, making travel within the city difficult. Criticizing the local leadership, the spokesperson added, “The mayor and provincial ministers should stop comparing Karachi to Paris or London, as they themselves enjoy air-conditioned vehicles worth millions while ignoring the city’s actual condition.”
