The University of the Punjab has declared the first week of September as a “Zero Week” in response to severe weather and widespread flooding across the country.
According to a notification from the registrar, all academic activities will be suspended from September 1 to 7 to safeguard students, faculty, and staff.
During this break, departments will handle admission procedures, orientation programs, and hostel allotments, while faculty and administration will engage in activities to welcome students back to campus.
Regular classes and examinations will resume from September 8, 2025. The university confirmed that the academic calendar remains unchanged, though extra classes may be arranged online or on Saturdays if required to cover any academic gaps.
