Punjab University Postpones LLB and PPSC Exams

The Punjab University has officially postponed its LLB exams that were scheduled to take place today (Friday), according to a statement issued by the university’s spokesperson.

The decision was made due to unavoidable circumstances, though officials did not specify the exact reason behind the postponement. The university clarified that new dates for the postponed LLB exams will be announced later through official channels.

However, the spokesperson confirmed that the LLB exams scheduled for October 13 will proceed as planned. Students are advised to keep checking the university’s website and notice boards for any updates regarding revised schedules.

The announcement has caused confusion among law students, many of whom were preparing for today’s papers. Several candidates expressed frustration over the sudden change, saying they had already made travel arrangements to reach their respective examination centers.

University officials have urged students to remain patient, assuring that a revised timetable will be released soon. “We understand the inconvenience this may cause to students and are working to finalize new exam dates as early as possible,” the spokesperson stated.

In addition to the LLB exams, sources have reported that certain Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) exams have also been postponed due to administrative and logistical reasons. Candidates appearing in these tests are also advised to monitor the PPSC website for updated information.

The postponement of LLB and PPSC exams comes at a time when several educational and government institutions are adjusting schedules amid the current law and order situation in the province. Students and candidates have requested the authorities to announce future dates promptly to avoid further uncertainty.

Education analysts believe that such sudden schedule changes affect students’ morale and preparation plans, especially for those who travel long distances for their exams. They have also urged examination boards to communicate earlier in case of possible delays to minimize disruption.

Meanwhile, in related developments, cities across Punjab have been experiencing public service interruptions. Recently, Metro Bus services were halted in Lahore and Islamabad, causing widespread travel disruptions for commuters. These ongoing issues have contributed to delays in several institutional operations.

The Punjab University has assured that students will be notified as soon as new dates are finalized. Until then, the LLB exams scheduled for October 13 will continue as per plan, while postponed papers will be rescheduled shortly.
