Lahore experienced long vehicle queues as thousands rushed to get their emissions tested ahead of the June 30 deadline. Following directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government announced significant relief measures to reduce pressure on emission testing centers.
Imran Hamid Sheikh, Director General of the Environment Protection Department Punjab, stated that multiple emission testing booths have been set up at strategic locations throughout Lahore to handle the increased demand.

These locations include Gajju Matta, Saggian Toll Plaza, Central Park, Bedian Road, Valencia Town, Racecourse Park, Marghzar Colony, Minar-e-Pakistan, Allama Iqbal Town, Shahdara Colony, Paragon City, Manawan Training Center, Gymkhana Club, LDA Avenue, Bahria Town, and DHA Raya.
Additionally, booths have been established at prominent educational institutions such as Punjab University, LUMS, Lahore School of Economics, Aitchison College, FC College, and Allama Iqbal Medical College.
The green sticker booths operate daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Raja Jahangir Anwar reminded vehicle owners that June 30 remains the final date for compliance with emission testing requirements.
This initiative is part of the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to enhance air quality and ensure vehicles adhere to environmental standards.
