The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in partnership with the Punjab Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, has launched online registration for the August 2025 e-auction of special vehicle number plates.
Through the PITB e-Auction mobile app or web portal, applicants can register to bid on distinctive numbers for motorcycles and cars. Registration is open until August 30, 2025.
PITB stated that the platform allows people to take part in the auction from home, with results shown directly in the app to ensure transparency.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the initiative is designed to simplify the process, make it fair, and eliminate corruption by removing middlemen and outdated practices.
