Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has announced special relief measures on electricity bills and various taxes for families affected by recent floods.
The minister made the announcement while visiting a flood victims’ camp in Chohang, where he joined Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations with displaced families. He distributed sweets and personally listened to residents’ concerns during his visit.
Reassuring victims, he said the government would stand firmly with flood-hit families, providing comprehensive support under a dedicated relief package. He noted that the spirit of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)—patience, unity, and service—guides the government’s response to public hardships.
He further pledged that all available resources would be mobilized to ease daily struggles and ensure essential services reach those in need.
Camp residents appreciated the minister’s presence, expressing gratitude for the government’s assistance during this difficult time.
