Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced on his official Facebook page that schools across the province will follow new winter timings soon.
Under the revised schedule, schools will open at 8:45 a.m. and close at 1:30 p.m., a change aimed at ensuring students’ safety and comfort amid falling temperatures.
Although the official notification from the Punjab School Education Department is still pending, it is expected to be issued shortly, after which the new hours will take effect immediately.
The minister has been actively updating parents and teachers on education-related reforms and administrative decisions through his social media channels.
This adjustment aligns with past measures taken to protect children from the harsh morning cold during winter months.
