The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) in Lahore has officially announced the schedule for the Grade 8 Annual Exams 2026, outlining a four-day plan set to begin in March.
According to the released timetable, the Grade 8 Exams will start on March 9, 2026, and continue until March 12, 2026. All Exams will be conducted between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
The Exams will begin with Mathematics on Monday, March 9. The Urdu Exam will take place on Tuesday, March 10, followed by the English Exam on Wednesday, March 11. The final of the four scheduled Exams, Science, will be held on Thursday, March 12.
The authority clarified that remaining Grade 8 Exams will be managed by schools under the School Based Assessment system using the IBS facility. It also stated that the schedule for other subjects and the End of Year Term Assessment 2026 for different grades will be shared separately.
Strict instructions have been issued for the Exams. Students are not allowed to bring calculators, mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic devices into the examination centers. Candidates must arrive at least 30 minutes before their Exams begin.
For entry into the Exams hall, students must present their B Form and roll number slip. They are required to bring a blue or black ballpoint pen along with a clipboard. Those appearing in the Mathematics Exam must also carry their own geometry box.
The authority further instructed that during the Exams, students must use only the answer booklet provided, as no additional sheets will be given. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the hall before the Exams officially conclude.
