PDWP Approves Five Major Development Projects Worth Over Rs. 39.73 Billion
The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has given the green light to five major infrastructure projects with a combined estimated cost exceeding Rs. 39.73 billion. The approval was granted during the 63rd PDWP meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan and attended by Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, and other senior officials.
Approved Projects & Allocations
- Road Construction (Bahawalpur District)
- Project: Construction of a road from Bahawalpur (N-5) to Jhangrah Sharqi Interchange (KLM)
- Cost: Rs. 4.93 billion
- Road Dualization (Khanewal District)
- Project: Dualization of the road from Mian Channu (N-5) to Abdul Hakim Interchange (M-4) via Tulamba
- Cost: Rs. 3.03 billion
- Road Dualization (Gujranwala & Hafizabad Districts)
- Project: Dualization of the road from Gujranwala to M-2 Interchange at Kot Sarwar via Hafizabad
- Cost: Rs. 13.23 billion
- Road Dualization (Khushab District)
- Project: Dualization of the Sargodha-Khushab-Mianwali Road
- Cost: Rs. 11.80 billion
- Road Widening & Improvement (Sialkot & Narowal Districts)
- Project: Widening and improvement of the road from Sialkot Cantt to Jassar Garrison
- Cost: Rs. 7.05 billion
These projects aim to enhance regional connectivity, improve road safety, and support economic growth by upgrading key transport infrastructure across multiple districts.
