Former federal minister Gandapur was apprehended last week outside the Peshawar High Court’s Dera Ismail Khan Bench. He was handed over to the Golra police in Islamabad, but he was later taken over by the Bhakkar police.

A first information report (FIR) was filed against the PTI politician with the Golra police, which cited an audio clip in which he is allegedly heard making disparaging remarks about the federal coalition, shouting threats at government employees, and inciting the populace against the government.

Gandapur’s attorney, Sher Afazl Khan, stated during the hearing on Wednesday that his client had never incited a group against the state or the populace against the government. He claimed that because such FIRs are the responsibility of the state, the magistrate was not authorised to file the charge accusing the PTI leader of mutiny.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
