PTI to stage big rally in Peshawar today

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) General Secretary Salman Akram Raja announced that the party’s rally in Peshawar today (Saturday) would serve as a strong protest against lawlessness, constitutional breaches, and curbs on free speech. Speaking at the venue, he said the event would draw large crowds of workers from across the country.

Raja shared that during a meeting in Adiala Jail, PTI founder Imran Khan expressed grief over the killing of civilians in Khyber’s Tirah area and stood in solidarity with the victims’ families. He clarified that the provincial government had no role in the incident, blaming rising terrorism in KP on flawed federal policies.

Calling for joint efforts to address military operations in tribal districts, Raja condemned the reported crackdown on PTI leaders and workers planning to attend the rally. He added that PTI would also raise its voice for “subjugated” judges. Senior leaders, including Aleema Khan and Junaid Akbar, reviewed preparations.
