In a related context, PTI senior leader Ali Muhammad Khan recently accused the current government of pursuing its “political objectives.” Speaking on Samaa TV, Khan noted the government’s efforts to align with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, highlighting that Rehman is currently influential. Khan recalled PTI’s past opposition to Rehman’s politics, noting that this is the first time Rehman has aligned with PTI. He expressed confidence that Rehman would soon recognize the benefits of supporting PTI, asserting that political negotiations can include even major opponents. Khan also mentioned that PTI founder had initially tasked Mahmood Achakzai with negotiations, but Achakzai had requested to play a role through Asad Qaiser.
