ISLAMABAD – Violent protests erupted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, leading to the death of Islamabad police officer Abdul Hamid Shah and injuries to other personnel. Shah, who was nearing retirement, succumbed to severe injuries after being attacked by protesters. He was treated at PIMS Hospital but died from his wounds. His funeral will be held at the police lines, with Shah remembered as a dedicated officer who joined in 1988 and hailed from Abbottabad.

PTI continued its protests, awaiting Imran Khan’s directives.
