The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the launch of a nationwide protest movement starting Saturday, with founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan set to lead the effort from prison.

Following a meeting with Khan at Adiala Jail, PTI Senator Ali Zafar told reporters that the protests would extend beyond Islamabad. “Imran Khan believes the time has come for a public movement,” Zafar stated, adding that Khan expressed frustration with both the judiciary and the executive for failing to deliver justice to PTI.

Zafar revealed that Khan had tasked him with developing a comprehensive protest strategy in consultation with the party’s legal team and senior leadership. “Once the plan is finalized, I will present it to Khan during our next meeting,” he said.

He emphasized that the campaign would be well-organized and goal-driven. “Imran Khan is clear — this movement must bring real results,” Zafar noted.

Despite being incarcerated, Khan remains in full control of PTI, with party leaders pledging full compliance with his directives. “Whatever our chairman decides, we will act upon it without delay,” Zafar affirmed.

Regarding the June 5 hearing in the Al-Qadir Trust case, Zafar said uncertainty remains, but PTI hopes justice will prevail
