The PTA reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward the illegal trade and alteration of mobile device identifiers. Authorities noted that such unlawful practices pose serious threats to national security and public safety, facilitating cybercrime, financial fraud, abductions, and other criminal acts.
The PTA emphasized its continued commitment to safeguarding the integrity of Pakistan’s mobile communication networks. Citizens have been urged to report any suspicious activities related to mobile phone tampering or cloning. Legal proceedings will be initiated against all individuals found involved in such offenses.
