[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In a significant event, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Temporary Mobile Registration System by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The initiative aims to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals visiting the country by allowing them to register and use their personal mobile phones for up to 120 days without duties and taxes.
Developed in consultation with the Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the Temporary Mobile Registration System can be utilized by visitors during each trip to Pakistan. Interested users can apply online through PTA’s official website.

During the launch ceremony, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to providing excellent connectivity facilities to all visitors, ensuring they can stay connected throughout their stay in Pakistan. Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Syed Amin Ul Haq, reiterated their dedication to offering seamless ICT services across the country, pledging to extend connectivity with ease and comfort to overseas Pakistanis and foreign nationals.
Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, expressed gratitude to stakeholders, including the Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoIT), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), for their invaluable support.
