The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ramped up efforts to combat Indian-backed bots and fake social media accounts accused of spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda amid rising bilateral tensions.
Authorities have identified dozens of suspicious accounts and have so far reported 46 URLs to social media platforms for blocking, according to PTA officials. The regulatory body has also established 24/7 monitoring to swiftly counter hostile digital activities.

In coordination with other national institutions, the PTA has pledged to continue its crackdown, ensuring that any account engaged in spreading disinformation will be flagged and actioned immediately.
The PTA has called on Pakistani citizens to stay alert, urging them to report any misleading or suspicious content to support national digital security efforts.
