PTA Intensifies Crackdown On Anti-Pakistan Disinformation Campaigns

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ramped up efforts to combat Indian-backed bots and fake social media accounts accused of spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda amid rising bilateral tensions.

Authorities have identified dozens of suspicious accounts and have so far reported 46 URLs to social media platforms for blocking, according to PTA officials. The regulatory body has also established 24/7 monitoring to swiftly counter hostile digital activities.
