The Indian staff, working as freelancers with the PSL broadcasters, reportedly started leaving soon after the visa cancellation was announced. Those based in Multan were expected to exit by today, with the remaining personnel scheduled to depart shortly.
No Disruption to PSL Broadcast
Despite the sudden exit, sources confirmed that the departure will not impact the PSL broadcasts, as replacement staff were readily available. The broadcasting company, which is Pakistani-owned, had contingency plans in place to ensure smooth operations.
PCB Not Involved in Visa Decision
Officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) clarified that the board had no role in the visa revocation. The decision was made solely by the Ministry of Interior and is applicable to all Indian nationals in Pakistan, including those linked to the PSL.
