For the first time, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the opening ceremony of the HBL PSL, scheduled for 7 PM on Friday, April 11.
The tournament’s opening match, set for the same day, will feature defending champions Islamabad United facing off against two-time winners Lahore Qalandars, with the first ball to be bowled at 8:30 PM.

PSL 2025 will be held across four venues: National Bank Stadium in Karachi, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Multan Cricket Stadium, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The final will take place at Gaddafi Stadium on May 18.
The opening ceremony in Rawalpindi will showcase performances by legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, a cultural act by Ali Zafar, and a modern set by Young Stunners.
Artists behind the official PSL X anthem — Abrar ul Haq, Ali Zafar, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum — will also perform live. The evening will conclude with a dazzling fireworks show for fans in attendance.
