The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has decided to take its dazzling PSL 11 trophy to the United Kingdom before the start of the next season. According to sources, the trophy will be showcased in major cities including London and Manchester, where local cricket lovers will get an opportunity to see it closely and meet some of the star players who are expected to join the tour.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer will personally oversee the trophy’s UK journey. The purpose behind the road tour is not only to interact with the huge Pakistani fan community living abroad but also to explore new commercial collaborations and branding opportunities in the international market. The specific dates for the trophy presentation and meet-and-greet events are likely to be revealed very soon.
By taking the trophy abroad, the PSL management aims to elevate the hype around the tournament and expand the league’s visibility on a global level, well before the first match of PSL 11 takes place.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board has already taken another major step to further strengthen the league. In November, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi introduced a new bonus policy for PSL teams, announcing additional monetary incentives to encourage growth, competitiveness, and long-term investment in player development.
Naqvi shared the decision on his official X account, explaining that future editions of the league will offer three separate financial rewards: $500,000 for the team that wins the title, $300,000 for the finalist finishing second, and $200,000 for the franchise contributing the most towards cricket improvement and talent development.
It is important to clarify that these bonus payments are separate from the official prize money traditionally awarded to PSL winners. The updated prize pool for upcoming seasons will be announced later and is expected to be larger than previous editions
