Xpeng unveiled the Mona M03 in early July, and production is already in full swing. The first completed Mona M03 vehicles have rolled off the assembly lines, with the official launch expected by the end of August.
This update comes directly from Xpeng’s chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, as the company pushes to accelerate its timeline and commence deliveries as soon as possible.
Xpeng began accepting reservations for the Mona M03 on August 8. A deposit of just CNY 99 (€12) secures a reservation, which can be converted into a CNY 3,000 (€390) discount upon purchase.
The Mona M03 is the first model in Xpeng’s new Mona lineup, with “Mona” standing for “Made Of New AI”—a name that likely resonates better in Chinese.
The vehicle will be available in two versions, offering 140 kW and 160 kW outputs, and will feature lithium iron phosphate batteries with a drag coefficient of 0.194 Cd. The starting price is expected to be under CNY 200,000 ($27,900).
