Private Medical College In Islamabad Sealed Due To Fake Degrees

The Vanguard Institute of Medical and Sciences in Islamabad is facing closure amid allegations of distributing fake degrees to paramedical staff, a revelation confirmed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Legal action has been initiated against both the management and implicated employees, with an ongoing crackdown and intensified raids aimed at apprehending those involved in this fraudulent operation.

The FIA spokesperson disclosed that their investigation has uncovered a disturbing collaboration between the college administration and the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council, resulting in the issuance of counterfeit degrees. Shockingly, a significant number of nurses were found to be working in hospitals across the region, holding these fraudulent college credentials.

The investigation report sheds light on even more unsettling details, including the recovery of a counterfeit Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) allegedly linked to PIMS Hospital. This implies a potentially broader network of deceit within the educational institution.

Furthermore, the faculty list provided by the college administration has been exposed as fabricated, raising serious concerns about the integrity and credibility of the educational institution. This revelation points to a systematic breach of trust, with potential consequences for both the institution and the individuals involved in the production and distribution of fake degrees.

The closure of the Vanguard Institute of Medical and Sciences underscores the severity of the situation and the need for decisive action to curb such practices in the education sector. It also emphasizes the importance of ensuring the credibility and authenticity of academic qualifications, particularly in fields as critical as medical and paramedical services. The investigation and subsequent legal actions are essential steps towards restoring trust in the educational system and maintaining the integrity of the healthcare profession.
