According to reports, several gangs of beggars, including women and children, had entered these housing societies and began causing havoc for market visitors.
In response, the housing society administration launched a crackdown, beginning with the placement of banners urging residents to avoid giving alms to professional beggars and instead notify the appropriate authorities about their presence in the area.

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, thousands of beggars travel to major cities in search of alms.
They are frequently seen at traffic intersections and markets, knocking on car windows and pleading with drivers for money.
While some of these beggars may be in genuine need of assistance, others may be part of larger criminal networks that prey on vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
